On leaving school Noel Buckley went straight into the rock & roll industry working for one of the hardest working rock bands Stray as a drum and lighting tech. During this time Stray toured with heavyweights such as Black Sabbath, Rush, Kiss, Status Quo, Roxy Music, Groundhogs and Argent amongst others.

Noel left Stray in 1976 to get married and find a proper job. Around 1980 Noel discovered an interest in photography attending many courses, finally studying under Michael Lea at Waltham Forest Tech. For many years Noel photographed weddings whilst working freelance for a local newspaper.

In 1995 Noel was invited by Del Bromham of Stray to photograph the band live, since then this is the path Noel's photography has taken, working with bands such as Ash, Blue, Blondie, The Doves, Natasha Bedingfield, Duran Duran, Lulu, The Hives, Kasabian, Warrior Soul, Status Quo, Simply Red, Jefferson Starship, Uriah Heep, Nazereth, Rooster, Stray, Blue Oyster Cult, The Sweet, Mountain, Groundhogs, Eric Bell(Thin Lizzy), Leslie West, Richie Scarlet, Kavo and The Dolz.

Noel’s work has appeared in magazines such as Metal Hammer, as well as cd covers and posters.
